Clara McPherson

So, this is my BEAUTIFUL niece, Clara.  She is a whopping 6 days old in this picture. "What?!" you say. I know...beautiful.  My sister and brother-in-law asked me to photograph her as a newborn.  "What?!" I thought. I was delighted!  I am a self-taught photo-enthusiast and who knows, you may see "photographs by_bellinger" one day...

Final Design_Method Flash Drives

I am very happy with the final design of the Method flash drives. I tried to achieve the simplicity of the Method brand. You know what they always say, "simple is hard." I tend to "overdesign" products...but not this time! I had fun with the packaging. Again, simple. I also presented this page just as Method presents their products on www.methodhome.com. I included a fun description about the flash drives (many phrases compliments of Method).

Above is the final rendering (created in Hypershot and enhanced in Photoshop) for the Method flash drives. The MOST difficult part of this rendering was making the background white, but not too white! I wanted the flash drives to stand alone and speak for themselves...taking away any distractions.

Sketch Page_Method Flash Drives

Here are my initial sketches and further developed concepts (rendered in Adobe Illustrator) for the Method USB flash drives. I've come a long way on my sketch pages. I've been doing this for a while, but one of my favorite ways to start a sketch page is to use SolidWorks screenshots as underlays. When my professor RECOMMENDED this technique to our entire class I was THRILLED! I never thought less of myself by using this "cheating" method, but it's nice to know that others have done it and even more will be doing it!

I still struggle with heirarchy and line weight. Any recommendations?
